Do you have a script? Do you have a story idea?
Want to meet other scriptwriters and filmmakers to develop it?
Action On The Side runs a regular script development programme, Scriptwriters On The Side
Join us for our next script development meeting. Bring copies of your script (online or printed), and your ideas. Anyone can join us.
Feature or short.
Theatre, webseries, tv pilot.
If you’d like a challenge, you can develop a script for the next Action On The Side project. Develop a movie idea that can be shot in two days. Prepare to pitch at the next AOTS project.
We run fortnightly script development meetings. Like the Action On The Side Facebook page for reminders of our meetings.
Workshops are held on Mondays, upstairs at The Perseverance Pub (Lamb’s Conduit Street), 7pm-9pm

When signing up, please indicate the workshop date you’ll be attending.
Dates are promoted through our mailing list and on our Facebook page. Please check here for details.
How much does it cost?
£5, which you can pay in advance or on the door. This covers administrative costs.
Can I come if my script isn’t ready?
Yes, definitely. You can bring your ideas and discuss them in a safe environment. Though we strongly recommend that you write down your script idea and a first draft, though these are not required for these meetings.
What should I bring to the event?
If you have script drafts, you can bring 2-3 printed copies and/or an e-copy. If you have an idea, you don’t need to bring anything.
If you are bringing a feature, you can bring an excerpt of up to ten pages, a one-sheet, or treatment.
