Short Script Development

Learn how to structure and approach writing an effective short film screenplay using a series of writing tools.

Topics include:

• applying the three-act structure to a 5-page script;
• character motivation;
• genre and generic convention.

This workshop is designed for screenwriters and storytellers.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have developed a concept for a five-page script and have a rough story outline.

Workshop Facilitator

Patricia Hetherington is a short-form narrative content producer. She has produced over 30 short films and runs Action On The Side. She has written 6 produced shorts, writes short screenplays regularly, and regularly takes part in screenwriting training. She is a certified Lecturer, having taught Film and Media at FE and HE levels.
