The Ealing 48 Screening and Awards

On the weekend of November 3rd to 5th, eleven teams were up for the challenge to make a short film in just 48 hours: the Ealing 48. 

Their film had to be 5-7 minutes (including credits), had to be in an allocated genre, and each film had to include a prop (a photo frame), a line of dialogue ("The most important thing to remember is..."), and a shot or filmmaking technique (a freeze frame). They had to submit their film and signed release forms by the deadline to be eligible for prizes.

Join us to watch those 11 films! At the end of the screening, the best films will be awarded prizes, including BEST SCREENPLAY, BEST PERFORMANCE, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY, BEST SOUNDTRACK, and the grand trophy for BEST FILM!

In addition to the Ealing 48 films, we are premiering the short films made as part of Cinema SoundEX. 

Filmmakers made a 60-second silent film and Composers wrote a 60-second piece of music. These were then swapped, as the filmmakers made a film to their given soundtrack and composers made a soundtrack to their given film.

Regrettably the cinema only seats 60 people. We wish all participants in the films could join us, but we are limited for space. Don't worry if you can't join us in person though! The awards will be live streamed -- book a ticket to the live stream event HERE.
