A Winter Barbecue - Screening

Our March 2020 short film, A Winter Barbecue, will screen at the Morland Estate Film Club this coming Saturday, 28th February 2026.

The free screening will be held at Morland Estate Community Hall (Gayhurst Road, London E8 3EY) in Hackney. Get your free tickets on Eventbrite now.

Organiser Sheridan Seraphin has said the event is run by a community in Hackney who have set up a local film club. They feature films either made in East/North London or films by filmmakers based in those areas. They highlight working class communities and are particularly interested in films that highlight the perils and beauty of humanity.

After the final film of the night has been shown, we run a Q & A with all the filmmakers involved in the night. Writer / Producer Patricia Hetherington will be at the event and will take part in the Q&A.

The event runs every last Saturday at the end of each month (except July and December), features free food and drink and is generally just a good vibe. All sorts of people from and outside the community attend and it's all free.
