Patricia Hetherington
Producer, Organiser, Action On The Side
​
Patricia is a narrative short-form content producer who runs Busy Kiwi Productions. She freelances as a PM and AD. She teaches Media and Film Production at University and FE levels, currently at Kingston University. She has worked with Ealing Film Festival, joined the previewing team for the International Film Festival The Hague and was a jury member for Sci-Fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge and the Tels Quels festival (Belgium) LGBTQ+ short film competition Her media industry roles include working at VICE Media, BAFTA albert, and the BBC.

A.D. Cooper
Director, Writer, Producer, Hurcheon Films

A. D. Cooper is an award-winning writer and director who’s created a long slate of short films. These have included drama, comedy, horror, documentaries, music videos, poetry and corporates, garnering many awards at international and UK film festivals. She’s also presented and directed her own plays on London stages, and heard her historical radio dramas produced as podcasts by Towton Audio. She’s published joke books, short stories, multiple articles on film making, and has been an award-winning rugby journalist. She regularly runs workshops on writing short scripts on the M.A. Scriptwriting at the London College of Communication.

Louis Savy
Festival Director & Founder, SCI-FI LONDON

Louis is the Festival Director of SCI-FI-LONDON (the Annual International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film) and Producer with The SciFi Factory. Louis is consultant to The Festivals Channel and works with Film London as a consultant for their Audience Development team. He has worked with many film festivals and film exhibitors including The London Turkish Film Festival, Terracotta Film Festival, The London Festival of Architecture and ICON TLV. Louis is an experienced lecturer on Film Festival marketing and best practice, and low/no budget science fiction filmmaking.

Sumi Kapour
Blogger, Student. Production Assistant

Sumi is a filmmaker who is currently studying her BA in Film at the University of Westminster. She blogs about her experiences with muscular dystrophy and queerness. She joins The Ealing 48 Team as a Production Assistant - you'll see her at the Kick-Off Event and the Screening, and in the Ealing 48 Group.

Jim Fitzmaurice
Writer, Organiser, SGCF

Jim Ftizmaurice is a retired university professor of English from Flagstaff, Arizona and currently an honorary research fellow at the University of Sheffield. Since he has retired, he has written screenplays on a wide variety of topics including an imagined comic encounter between Barack Obama (as an undergraduate poet in LA) and Charles Bukowski. Other comedies and dramadies focus on Margaret Cavendish (duchess of Newcastle) at Bolsover Castle in the 17th century and Raymond Carver in married student housing at the University of Iowa in the 1960s. Jim is in charge of local arrangements for the Sheffield Global Cinema Festival.

Gbodhie
Composer, Filmmaker

Born in London, Vocalist, Composer, and Film Director Gbodhie first set music to story at age 21, receiving an opportunity to score a short piece of music for pit orchestra in the West End. After working as a vocalist for artists such as Carl McIntosh, Loose Ends, Michelle Escoffery, Dele Sosimi, and Tia Fuller, she began doing voiceovers for student film projects while studying Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. While working as an assistant Film Scoring Lab Technician, she fell in love with the art of cinema, moving on to editing and returning to London to study Moving Image at Raindance Film School. Currently she is working on her first personal musical project, an experimental blend of synth and soul underpinned with folk and classical techniques. She writes frequently in the genre of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
Diana Govina
Filmmaker, Actor

Diana Govina is a filmmaker and visual effects artist, having worked on several shorts, including Action On The Side's "Hunting Rabbits". She has also produced several music videos and audiovisual. She studied Acting and Filmmaking at Raindance Film School. She is currently based in her native Riga. You'll see her posting on the Action On The Side social media channels.
Melissa Phillips
Actor

Melissa is a London-based actor whose recent TV credits include season 4 of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime). In addition to acting, she enjoys voice-over work and recently teamed up with Proforça Theatre Company for dystopian drama ‘The Shatter Box’ (Lion & Unicorn Theatre). Melissa is excited to support new and emerging talent through Action On The Side's Ealing 48.
